Research Associate : The wheat genomics laboratory is seeking for highly motivated candidate to work on the projects utilizing genomic approaches to study the molecular basis of agronomically important traits in wheat and its wild relatives. The classical genetic and association mapping, next-generation sequencing, expression profiling and comparative genomic analysis will be used to identify and characterize the genes and genomic regions of interest. He or she will be involved in development of genomic resources for high-throughput SNP genotyping in wheat and utilizing genome-wide molecular variation for assessing the patterns of linkage disequilibrium and genetic diversity in wheat and developing populations for association mapping of important wheat traits. The candidate will have access to modern genomic technologies through the KSU Integrated Genomics Facility and have a chance to interact with vibrant KSU research programs in genetics and genomics of other crop species.
