Undergraduate researcher awarded a Kansas Academy of Science Research Grant
 Derek Schneweis, an undergraduate research assistant mentored by Dorith Rotenberg in the Department of Plant Pathology, recently received a 2010 Kansas Academy of Science Undergraduate Research Grant ($500) to fund his proposal entitled “Cloning and characterizing antiviral defense pathway genes in Frankliniella occidentalis, the insect vector host of Tomato spotted wilt virus.”
